Postdoctoral Fellowships Labex/CDP CEMPI

The training of mathematicians and physicists at the graduate and post-graduate level is an important aspect of the activities of CEMPI. The Center provides a stimulating international environment for master's and PhD students, as well as for post-doctoral researchers. Details of the application procedures for  LABEX/CDP CEMPI funding are provided below.

Labex/CDP CEMPI has several openings for one-year postdoctoral research position (renewable for one year), starting between September 1st 2025 and November 30 2025. Applications in all mathematical fields of CEMPI are strongly encouraged. CEMPI's research project is available.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. prior to the start of the contract. Selection will be based on the scientific excellence of the candidate and on the quality of the proposed research project.

Beyond progressing on their own research, candidates are expected to take an active part in the activities of the Labex/CDP CEMPI and of its partner laboratories, and in particular in the annual Thematic Semester of CEMPI. No teaching duties are imposed on the successful candidate and mastery of the French language is not a requirement. Candidates are strongly encouraged to contact the researchers of the laboratory Paul Painlevé (Laboratoire Paul Painlevé). A particular attention will be put on the interdisciplinary projecvts with our partner laboratories of the Labex/CDP CEMPI (CRISTAl, IEMN,  PhLAM).

The net pay (after the deduction of social contributions, including health coverage and pension contributions, but not income taxes) is approximately 2,400 euros/month.
